Quality Compost Testing

We offer an extensive range of compost and waste analysis services, with over 10 years experience in the analysis of composts, soils, sludge and other solid aggregates. Compost quality is defined by the PAS100 standard and digestate quality is defined by the PAS110 standard. All testing is conducted in house with fast turnaround options available. 

Our highly trained team offer an extensive range of metal analysis, nutrient analysis, micro and physical testing. We also provide AT4 and OUR (Oxygen Uptake Rate) analysis and Self Heating tests.

We offer package deals on pH, carbon / nitrogen ratio, organic matter, cadmium, chromium, copper zinc, nickel, lead and mercury analysis. We can also test soil in accordance with environmental and quality standards such as BS 3882:2015 – Specification for top soil and requirements for use. 

Compost Digestate Stability

Digestate stability can be measured by the residual biogas potential (RBP) test or by OUR. The use of OUR for digestate is relatively new as the method was originally developed for compost. We provide OUR testing on digestate samples. The correlation between the two methods is very good.
