Bord Bia Water Testing

We provide laboratory analysis to meet the Bord Bia water test requirements as indicated in the Producer Standard for Growing, Packing & Produce Handling.

Bord Bia oversees a number of quality assurance schemes including Sustainable Horticultural Assurance Scheme, Sustainable Dairy Assurance Scheme, Feed Quality Assurance Scheme Pigmeat Quality Assurance Scheme. Bord Bia gives a list of specific tests to be conducted on water to ensure it is of an acceptable quality for use in the production system (eg vegetable washing, irrigation water, cleaning etc.)

Testing must be conducted at least once per year and the results submitted as part of the annual Bord Bia audit.

• Enterococci
• Escherichia coli (E. Coli)
• Ammonia
• Nitrate
• Nitrite

Fitz Scientific are accredited by INAB to ISO17025 Standard for the microbiological and chemical analysis of water to meet this standard.
