Supporting Drogheda
Fitz Scientific started business in 1998 in a small terraced house in Carpenter’s Lane, Narrow West St, Drogheda, with 2 people. Drogheda is our home and we are very proud of where we come from. We actively support voluntary and business development initiatives, including the following:

LOVE DROGHEDA Business Improvement District CLG
We are supporters of this proposal and believe it will provide a structure for Drogheda’s enterprise to develop in the future. We will be voting yes in the forthcoming plebiscite.
The Mill Enterprise Centre
Fitz Scientific are contributors to the Mill Phase I and are active supporters, working on the enterprise committee currently seeking to develop Phase III of this local enterprise development centre. Since opening in 2014, the Mill has been a huge success, facilitating the creation of 400 additional jobs in Drogheda.
Drogheda Young Innovators
This is an annual competition, encouraging Drogheda’s young people to see themselves as innovators in the areas of Science, Business and Social Enterprise. Currently 9 secondary schools in Drogheda and Dunleer compete to win this annual
award.

Drogheda 10k
We were involved from the very start, when the then Boyne Valley 10K hit the road in May 2010. Since this time, this race has grown to be the best 10K run in Ireland, with 2,000 athletes on the start line every May Bank Holiday weekend. It is a key event in raising funds for the development of athletics in Drogheda.
Boyneside Trail / Boyne Greenway
We are active supporters of the Boyneside Trail, a project to build a 17km cycleway from the Boyne Estuary at Mornington to Bru na Boinne Interpretation Centre at Newgrange. This is a key sustainable transport project and fundamental to the development of a strong Drogheda tourism economy.

Drogheda Wolves
Fitz Scientific are proud sponsors of Drogheda Wolves Basketball Club. The players, coaches and volunteers are doing super work from under 10 teams, all the way up to seniors. Their motto - to belong, to play, to thrive - is all about the club, teamwork, inclusion and to do your best. As one of Ireland's biggest basketball clubs, they have dunked some serious trophies, like the recent under 14 Girls All Ireland Champions. They are a big part of Drogheda's sporting community and we look forward to the club's continued success. Onwards!
